Two days after Al shut off the water to the dehumidifier, I once again found water all over the floor in the furnace room. This time I managed to figure things out on my own. The little sump pump which collects water vapour from the furnace was sticking and it took a couple of good shakes to get the pump to work.
So, I calmly took down the specs from the side of the sump pump and texted my new buddy Al to bring a new one with him when he came to replace the dehumidifier. Then I placed the drain tube into a larger bucket to be checked and emptied daily until Al was able to replace the sump pump.
I think I’m getting the hang of this…
