The Ontario government extended its state of emergency another four weeks today.
Total cases in Ontario have risen to 7,470 and we’ve had 291 deaths. Cases are trending up everywhere, especially south of the border. I’ve been glued to MSNBC for the past couple of weeks watching the US numbers increase on a daily basis. Things are getting scary.
I’m only leaving the house once a week to get water and groceries and being as careful as I can while doing so. Although it’s already been a month of living like this, it still feels so surreal, like some crazy bad dream I can’t seem to wake up from.
I’m worried about my team, who will now be off work at least another month. Thank goodness for the government’s emergency assistance program.
