Holy Hostas!

If there’s one thing that grows well around here, it’s hosta plants.

While their flowers aren’t all that pretty, I absolutely love the foliage. Hostas stand green and grand and tall all summer long, regardless of temperature or precipitation.

They grow in the sun, and they grow in the shade. I have them in the front yard, as well as along both sides of the driveway.

They also ring a small grove of trees in the back yard, which frames all that greenery beautifully.

I can see that hostas are going to be the backbone of my garden design. I’m visualizing all that beautiful greenery throughout the yard, with lots of brightly coloured annuals in nestled in between.
